Get on Board
Get on Board empowers our members to impact the Texarkana community by connecting them with board or committee positions in local non-profits and city governments. Through a three-step process, participants can secure placements that enable them to contribute effectively to community development and governance.
All applicants must be active LNKTXK members and at least 21 years old. Candidates must complete the attached application and attend LNKTXK's Board Readiness Workshop. Afterward, the selection committee will review the applications and shortlist up to five candidates for each available board or committee position.
After the application process, the selection committee will submit chosen candidates to the relevant non-profits or city government for review. These organizations will decide whether to interview the candidates. If they do, the process advances to the third step; otherwise, a new group of candidates will be submitted.
Non-profits or city governments will interview the candidates selected in step 2 and make the final decision for the available board or committee positions.
